Houston Chronicle Endorses Al Bennett

Today the Houston Chronicle recommended that voters chose Al Bennett in the race for the 61st Civil District Court.

In its endorsement, the paper writes:

“With all Harris County district courts currently held by GOP incumbents, the Chronicle has selected a range of veteran jurists and well-qualified newcomers to provide a civil judiciary with a bipartisan blend of experience and fresh perspectives.

Alfred “Al” Bennett for 61st Judicial District: A University of Texas law school graduate, Democrat Bennett will bring a record of community service as well as diversity to the civil courts. He is an adjunct professor at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.”
